Ian Colley
Ian Colley has a distinguished track record in training, facilitation, strategic planning and innovation, with over 20 years experience in education and training policy and practice across government, academe and the private sector. His extensive experience in education and training includes research, policy development, project management, evaluation, consultation, conference design, and development of training products and services.
His particular interest is in strategic enhancement of workplace learning initiatives through intensive consultation with stakeholders. In his training and coaching work, Ian specialises in developing communication skills, team leadership, and change and innovation capabilities. Ian is a qualified assessor, having completed the Course in Advanced Assessor Training at the National Assessment Institute, University of Melbourne.
Prior to establish his own company, specialising in workplace learning advisory and support services, Ian Colley was Program Director for the Dusseldorp Skills Forum and Director of the NSW Centre for Workplace Learning. Before joining the Dusseldorp Skills Forum Mr Colley was a senior policy adviser on training with the NSW Government, in Departmental and Ministerial positions.
One of the national programs, which Ian managed from 1992 to 1996, won the Global Best Practice Industry Education Partnership Award in Toronto in 1996, and models of this program have now been adopted by education authorities across Australia.
